Steering and Suspensions

It is rare to have steering issues with any Volvo built in the last 20 years. However wheels can go out of alignment over time causing tram lining or causing the car to pull to the left or right. Of course, the other common symptom is uneven and premature tyre wear. Let our mechanics know if you are experiencing any unusual steering movements next time you bring your Volvo in for a service. Naturally we will also check your steering components during our usual safety check.

Suspension systems do wear over time with rubber bushes hardening, shrinking or cracking and shock absorbers losing their seals or fluid.

You can usual tell when you have a problem by the knocking noise coming from the front or rear of the car.
